Most of guys in the class gave presentations on "OBJECTIVE TRUTH" last lesson. It was actually interesting to find out that no one's argument was very close to the 'objective' end of the spectrum. There is a possibility that there is no objective truth (which will be part of my argument today). So the only way to make something like the "objective truth" is to manipulate it and make it deceiving for others.
In 1984, the official Party of the totalitarian government of Airstrip One manipulates truth by altering historical records in order to match the Party's version of past events. This, from the viewpoint of the citizens in the society, is an "objective truth". There is a similar concept where Japanese students learn in history class that their invasion in Korea for 35 years was not an invasion but was a mean of aiding Korea in order to improve their economic development.
